In 1955 I was 17 and faced with a long summer when I stayed at my grandmother's with no prospects of a trip anywhere, so I decided to fill my life with as many activities as I could cram into those summer days.  I made lists and lists of things to occupy myself and enjoyed a most interesting and active summer.

To begin with I made a list of all the 33 1/2 records that I owned:

Aida

Belafonte

Brute force Steel band

Cara Mia

Chacksfield

Compagnon de la Chanson

Mormon Tabernacle Choir

My Fair Lady

Night on Bare Mountain

Paganini

Paris After Midnight

Swan Lake

The King and I

Warsaw Concerto
